Cedars is a school that is rapidly moving forward and I hope within the pages of this website you will get a flavour of what we have to offer.
Our aim is to combine traditional values with innovative approaches and the school moto of "achieving excellence" sums up our philosophy. In 2012, the school achieved excellent exam results with 66% of Year 11 students achieving 5 or more GCSE passes at A*-C including English and Maths. At A level, the pass rate was 98%.
We also aim to help your children develop into responsible, resourceful and resilient citizens. We strive for excellence in terms of exam results but also recognise that there is much more to life and to education than just results. All of our students are offered opportunities to excel and are given the support they need to take advantage of these opportunities. We are very keen to work with parents and carers and recognise that your role is crucial to a successful school. We are also mindful of our central role in the local community and we are always looking to develop new links with partners. We have many students from out of catchment areas and we are always happy to show parents/carers and students around our school.

To clarify the arrangements for History and Geography revision sessions on Friday 24th May for Year 11.
Session 1 and 2 World History students and Geographers will all be in revising for 2 hours.
IF any of the students study both History and Geography, they should go to History for the two hours and then come to Mrs Pykett session 3 for a Geography revision booster session.
Session 3 and 5 Mrs Johnson and Mrs Goring-Farrow will be revising Social History.
Session 4 All students are revising English.
